Conestoga West - Weather Advisory

The unusually severe winter conditions in the Pacific Northwest have resulted in over a foot of snowfall in the Seattle area this month alone. Over the past few days storms have dumped nearly 8” of snow on the area, much of which remains on the roads and highways today. This amount snow is not typical of a Seattle winter and more snow is being forecasted for today and tonight before turning into freezing rain, then rain over the next few days.

Although our Kent, WA facility is operational, we are currently operating with roughly half of the manufacturing staff, limiting our potential output. The partial workforce combined with the extreme road conditions are prohibiting some common carriers from picking up shipments, as well as interfering with regularly scheduled deliveries by Conestoga trucks.

We expect this same situation to be in place today (Monday) and Tuesday of this week, before warmer temperatures and rain provide relief. Our goal is to be back on schedule no later than the end of the week, but until that time you should plan for products from our Conestoga West facility to ship 2 to 3 days later than originally scheduled.

We will continue to provide updates as weather conditions improve and our Kent facility works to fully return to their normal shipping schedule.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that these delays may cause you and your customers.
